Await the Freight, a documentary produced by Intermode Media, depicts the journey of two Canadian documentary film-makers as they rediscover life on the rails while attempting to jump on a freight train.

One of the film-makers, Mitch St.Pierre, attempts this dangerous expedition in a wheelchair. Along the way he faces unbelievable barriers while attempting freight train hops in the constraints of his chair. Accompanied by film-maker Skot Sanderson, the two document their story as they face the unknown in Await the Freight.

Returning to his mother’s native land of Peru in South America, Mitch sets out with his brother Javier and friend Skot in hopes of finding his distant family. Crossing through difficult terrain and places not designed for wheelchairs, the three trek through the Andes Mountains and Amazon Jungle in search of their past in Beyond the Andes. A documentary filmed in Cuba since Castro’s revolution, three Canadian documentary filmmakers set-out to Cuba in hopes of seeing this island nation from the eyes of the everyday Cuban people. Along the way they encounter another side of Cuba far from the sandy resort beaches and cheap rum. Castro may be ailing but has forged a relationship with the oil-rich nation of Venezuela in gaining supporters of his nearly 50 year-old revolution he started with Che Guevara. Approx time. 42:00

Domino Theory

Hugo Chavez and his Bolivarian Revolution are pushing the pendulum of power towards the left for his oil-rich nation. Canadian filmmakers, Skot Sanderson and Mitch St.Pierre, travel to this South American nation in search of answers to the questions surrounding President Chavez and his reforms for Venezuela. The friendship between Chavez and longtime ruler Fidel Castro is forging an alliance that is being closely monitored by Washington. After spending some time filming in Cuba in search of answers to this close relationship, Skot and Mitch head to Venezuela to continue looking for answers to the so-called threat in the south in the Domino Theory.
